PODER

For Latinx students, By Latinx Students

Our Mission

PODER is a week-long early arrival program for first-generation, first year, and  undocumented/DACA students. Our workshops, facilitated by upperclass students with shared experiences and backgrounds, empower first-year students to feel confident in their identities and capabilities as they navigate their academic, professional, and personal success at Northeastern and beyond.

We provide resources for students with underrepresented identities to succeed at Northeastern and beyond

OUR GOAL

Our Goal

To foster a supportive and collaborative community that prepares first-year, first-generation, and undocumented/DACA students for a successful transition into Northeastern.

OUR WORKSHOPS

Our Workshops

PODER workshops help students acclimate to campus life and utilize available resources. Designed intentionally by our committee of upperclassmen Program Managers (PMs), these workshops focus on a range of professional and academic skills essential for student success.

OUR IMPACT

Our Impact

To date, we have helped over a hundred first-generation students find support networks and thrive at Northeastern. Through personalized guidance and dedicated resources, we assist them in navigating college life, achieving academic success, and building a strong community.
